Terms and Conditions
This draft is tailored to the intended Dave Express VTU platform and must be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before final publication.
Important draft notice
This content is not legal advice. Confirm the effective date, governing law, operational practices, retention periods and any required Nigerian privacy wording before publication.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By creating or using a Dave Express account, a user agrees to the final reviewed Terms and Conditions. Users must be legally able to enter the agreement and must provide accurate registration information.
2. Accounts and accurate information
Each user is responsible for maintaining accurate name, username, email, phone and service-recipient information. Dave Express may request reasonable verification where required for account or transaction review.
3. Account and transaction-PIN security
Users must protect their password, transaction PIN, email access and device. They must not share one-time passwords or allow unauthorised use. Activity completed through an account may be treated as authorised unless promptly reported and investigated.
4. Wallet funding
The current approved funding method is Manual Bank Transfer and the stated minimum funding amount is ₦100. Users must follow the displayed instructions and verify recipient details. Paystack or another online method is not available unless it is later configured and shown in the platform.
5. Services and availability
Dave Express may provide Airtime, Data Bundles and other approved services when enabled. Electricity Bills, Cable TV, WAEC PIN, NECO PIN and JAMB PIN availability depends on configuration and provider support. Services may be unavailable, delayed or changed without being guaranteed.
6. Customer-supplied recipient details
Users must verify phone numbers, networks, meter numbers, smart-card/IUC numbers, product selections and other recipient details. Value delivered to incorrect customer-supplied details may be impossible to recover.
7. Pricing and confirmation
Prices may change according to network, bundle, biller, product or provider conditions. The amount displayed before confirmation applies to that attempted transaction. Users should not proceed unless they accept the displayed details and amount.
8. Transaction states
A transaction may be Successful, Pending or Failed. Successful generally means value was reported as delivered. Pending means the final outcome requires confirmation. Failed means the service was not completed, but wallet and provider records may still require reconciliation.
9. Provider and network delays
Mobile networks, billers, VTU providers, banks, hosting and other third parties may experience delays or outages. Dave Express will review supported issues but cannot promise uninterrupted or immediate processing in every situation.
10. Prohibited use
Users must not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, submit fraudulent transactions, interfere with the platform, abuse support channels, violate another person’s rights or use Dave Express for unlawful activity.
11. Suspension and restriction
Dave Express may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect the platform, respond to legal requirements, address misuse or resolve account-security concerns. Final suspension wording requires legal review.
12. Refunds and reversals
Refunds and reversals are governed by the reviewed Refund Policy. A request does not guarantee a refund. Provider reconciliation and the actual transaction outcome must be considered.
13. Limitation of liability
Any limitation of liability must be reviewed for applicable law. The final wording should fairly address indirect losses, third-party failures, incorrect customer details and events outside reasonable control without excluding rights that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Website content and intellectual property
The Dave Express name, branding, website content and original materials may be protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Users may not copy or misuse them except as permitted by law or written permission.
15. Changes to these terms
Dave Express may update the final terms when services or legal requirements change. A revised date should be displayed and material changes communicated where appropriate.
16. Governing law and disputes
Legal-review placeholder: confirm the governing law, jurisdiction and dispute-resolution process appropriate to Dave Express in Nigeria before publication.
